A. Program objectives
- Nurture and support the development of business initiatives, breakthrough ideas, and innovations in the Southwest region.
- Support breakthrough business projects to overcome difficulties in the early stages of establishment, minimizing risks and costs during the formation and operation of business projects.
- Projects after graduating from the incubation program will be ready to operate independently in the market, can participate in investment connections or commercial cooperation, and have a BMC, Business Plan and Pitching Deck; Project initiatives have an impact on the development of society or a specific economic sector
B. Overview of the incubation program
Projects/ideas, after passing the Selection round, will participate in a 6-month incubation program at Mekong Innovation Startup Incubator (At UEH Vinh Long Branch) or ISC Hau Giang. In each stage, members of startup projects will be provided with knowledge and skills integrated with many practical activities to be able to apply, build and develop their startup projects. me. Throughout this journey, the incubation program will also monitor the progress of implementing the project's OKRs/KPIs to promptly support and help overcome difficulties when necessary.
Completing the incubation program: After a 6-month incubation period, the project is considered qualified to complete the incubation program when it achieves the following development milestones:
- There is a product/service that is starting to be introduced to the market or there are customers and revenue.
- Ability to evaluate and track project changes through the project's Business Model Canvas.
- Set of communication/introduction documents about the project to Investors, Investment Funds, and Startup Accelerators (pitch deck)
C. Regular activities of the Nursery
Innovative Start-up Project Selection Activities:
a. Priority selection areas
- Digital transformation in the fields of agriculture, technology, education, retail, commerce, smart cities, tourism,...
- Provide solutions in digital technology
- Products and solutions are built on a cloud computing platform
b. Number of selected projects:
Total number of selected projects per round: 6 - 8 projects. In there:
- Percentage of projects operating in technology fields: minimum 40%
- Percentage of projects that have sample products (MVP, PoC): minimum 50%
It is expected that in the first half of 2022, there will be 01 centralized recruitment round at UEH Vinh Long and 01 round at ISC Hau Giang
c. Conditions and evaluation criteria
Founding team: Have appropriate capacity and resources in building products and fields of operation (Product Development Capability)
