Aiming to turn ISC into a place providing technology application solutions for the Mekong Delta region, on August 12, 2024, ISC and its partners tested the application of smart water meters within the ISC area.
Smart water meters are designed to measure water usage efficiently. This device not only ensures accurate measurement of water consumption but also integrates IoT technology, helping users manage and monitor water usage in a smart and convenient way. The use of smart water meters plays an important role in saving water, reducing waste and improving the efficiency of water resource management.
The technical features of the smart water meter at ISC are shown:
- Công nghệ siêu âm: The LR1100 uses ultrasonic technology to measure water flow, allowing for high accuracy and is not affected by environmental factors such as dirt or chemicals in the water.
- Measure many parameters: The meter is capable of measuring many parameters such as cumulative flow, instantaneous flow, water temperature, etc.
- IoT connectivity: The device is integrated with IoT technology, allowing wireless connection to remote management systems via protocols such as NB-IOT or LoRaWAN. ISC is currently testing 2 water meters using the NB-IOT protocol.
- No moving parts: The watch uses ultrasonic technology, so there are no moving parts, thus minimizing wear and increasing the durability of the device.
- Leak Warning: When detecting signs of leakage or unusual water usage, the smart water meter will send an immediate warning to the user.
- Tiêu thụ năng lượng thấp: được thiết kế để hoạt động với mức tiêu thụ năng lượng thấp, kéo dài tuổi thọ pin, phù hợp cho các ứng dụng dài hạn.
In the next phase, ISC will integrate this smart water meter data into the management system to generate visual reports, helping smart water meter management units save costs, reduce water usage bills through early detection of leaks and more scientific water meter management.
