Ho Chi Minh City, August 30, 2025 – The Institute of Innovation under the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted the closing session of the internship component, as well as the Final Review of the ISC Hậu Giang Challenge, with the participation of 120 students from Cohort 49, majoring in Technology and Innovation.
The ISC Hậu Giang Challenge featured 18 participating teams focusing on the theme of Green/Clean Tech. From these, 6 teams were selected for the final round, where each team had 5 minutes to present their project and respond to questions from a judging panel of 5 members. The panel included business representatives such as Mr. Hồ Điệp (Edunet), Mr. Vương Bảo Long (Agest Vietnam), and Ms. Lê Đình Vân Trang (DIGI-TEXX Vietnam), along with faculty members from UEH.
The competition concluded with the following awards: First Prize (3,000,000 VND): Team 15 – Integrated RAS-IMTA Crab Aquaculture; Second Prize (2,000,000 VND): Team 18 – Clearn Start-up Factory; Two Third Prizes (1,500,000 VND each): Team 14 – BIO-PACK Feed Pellets and Team 16 – AI Prediction & Biomass Gasification; Two Consolation Prizes (1,000,000 VND each): Team 8 – AgriLoop and Team 9 – Mekong Salt Garden

In preparation for the competition, the organizing committee engaged experienced experts and lecturers to mentor students in developing their research materials a month in advance. The student teams then participated in field trips to observe real-world business models in green and clean technology, guided by specialists and business leaders at ISC Hậu Giang. Following the visits, the teams were given two weeks to complete their projects, with prize sponsorship provided by ISC Hậu Giang.

Mr. Hà Thân – Chairman of Lac Viet Computing Corporation – commissioned a clean tech project for UEH students.

Two Consolation Prizes were awarded to Team 8 with the project AgriLoop and Team 9 with the project Mekong Salt Garden.

Two Third Prizes were awarded, including Team 14 with the project BIO-PACK Feed Pellet. and Team 16 with the project AI Prediction & Biomass Gasification.

One Second Prize was awarded to Team 18 with the project Clearn Start-up Plant.

One First Prize was awarded to Team 15 with the project Integrated RAS-IMTA Crab Aquaculture.
The ISC Hậu Giang Challenge was held for the first time under the theme of green/clean tech for UEH students. In the near future, ISC will continue to develop various agtech business models to be transferred to farmers, such as black soldier fly farming, biofloc fish farming, AIoT mushroom cultivation, and chili cultivation, etc. These initiatives aim to further build the innovation park ecosystem that ISC is focusing on, based on three pillars: information technology (BPO/GSS), agricultural technology (agtech), and STEAM education.
