On April 21, 2025, Viettel Hau Giang officially deployed the installation of a 5G broadcasting station at ISC.
According to the plan, the Viettel 5G base station is scheduled to become operational in May 2025. Once active, it is expected to significantly enhance the effectiveness of technology applications currently being tested at ISC, particularly through IoT systems applied in agriculture and improved mobile experiences.
It is noted that 5G network transmission speeds are up to 10 times faster than 4G, potentially reaching a maximum of 2.2 Gbps with near-zero latency. Furthermore, in terms of bandwidth, 5G networks can support approximately 100 times more simultaneous device connections compared to 4G.
Installation of the 5G base station at ISC
Consequently, businesses and employees at ISC will soon be able to experience the services offered by the 5G network. In parallel, Hau Giang province is investing 400 billion VND to expedite the completion of the Phase 2 technical infrastructure for the Digital Technology Park, ensuring optimal conditions to attract new businesses.
